DEPUTY GOVERNOR 'S MOTHER BIDS FAREWELL TO THE WORLD

 


      Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye,  Ekiti Deputy Governor has announced the passing away of her mother, Olori Esther Iyalaje Adegboye. 


                 A press  statement  was released by the Deputy Governor  that  Olori Adegboye died at the early hours of Tuesday after a protracted illness. She was 97 years old.

Olori Adegboye, a native of Ikere Ekiti, in Ekiti State, as revealed by her daughter, the Ekiti State Deputy Governor, said her late mother was a caring and resourceful community leader who played a significant role in community development and fostering unity in Ikere Ekiti, and her contributions will be fondly remembered by the community and the Akayejo Royal Dynasty.

Olori Adegboye is survived by extended family members, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Burial arrangements will be announced later. The Deputy Governor has prayed that  God  should grant her mother eternal rest and sustain the family she left behind.
